WEST HILLS, Calif. — Jean Grey struggled with her powerful dark side in an X-Men movie with plot twists that impressed USS Angeles members.
Karen Hoagland, Mary Hovey, Lisa Sobien and I enjoyed watching “Dark Phoenix” June 8 at AMC Fallbrook 7 in West Hills in the Los Angeles area.
In the movie, Grey (the talented Sophie Turner) unexpectedly gains access to incredible powers. While the movie has its dark moments, Lisa and I were impressed with the film’s positive twists. We thought the movie told the Dark Phoenix story better than the “X-Men: The Last Stand” (2006).
After seeing “Dark Phoenix,” Karen, Mary, Lisa and I enjoyed dinner at a nearby Chile’s.
