WEST HILLS — “Wow!” Renee Wike said as she saw Luke Skywalker back in action.
She and six other USS Angeles members and guests watched “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” Jan. 7 at the AMC Fallbrook 7 in West Hills.
We cheered for Rey (Daisy Ridley), General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) in what some fans have called the best “Star Wars” movie since “The Empire Strikes Back.”
We watched the movie in comfort on reclining seats, then enjoyed the dinner at a nearby Chili’s.
Members Lisa Sobien, Kat Campbell, Dakota Jones and two of Kat’s friends, Steve and Glenn, joined Renee and me for a fun mission. Lisa picked Renee up in Oxnard and gave her a lift to the Los Angeles area theater.
We were happy to see Renee before her upcoming move to Virginia. May the Force always be with you, Renee!
