Welcome

Originally inspired by “Star Trek,” the USS Angeles is a science fiction and fantasy fan club that embraces the worlds of everyone from Capt. Kirk to Harry Potter to The Doctor, whether it’s The Doctor of “Doctor Who” or The Doctor of “Star Trek: Voyager.” We regularly beam down to Los Angeles-area locations filmed for “Star Trek.” But you’ll also find us gathering for parties, going to Disneyland, seeing sci-fi movies, or visiting the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena and the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles.

Like other organizations, we found we had to add a holodeck during the COVID-19 pandemic. Once a month, we meet virtually through Zoom’s sessions. But now with our members becoming fully vaccinated and California’s full reopening, we are in the process of resuming in-person activities. And we will continue our Zoom activities, which means our members have the best of both worlds: virtual and in-person activities.

We also have a proud history of community service, including our longtime participation in AIDS Walk Los Angeles.

And we offer members an award-winning newsletter, Angels Flight; access to a chat-list; and the camaraderie of fans who share “Star Trek” creator Gene Roddenberry’s vision of a better universe.

I could say more, but the best way to learn about us is to click on the “Join Us” link above. Adventures await those who beam aboard our ship.
