We’ll land at the Museum of Flying

Fasten your seat belts, and put your trays in their upright position. USS Angeles members will take off to see the Santa Monica Museum of Flying Feb. 21.
We’ll meet at 10 a.m. at the museum at 3100 Airport Ave., Santa Monica. Admission costs $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students, and $6 for children ages 3 to 12. Children 2 and younger are admitted free.
Besides its various exhibits and aviation art, the museum features a replica of the Wright Flyer (the first plane!) and original artifacts related to the Douglas Aircraft Co. The company’s second president, Donald Douglas Jr., started the museum, then known as the Douglas Museum and Library, in 1979.
